I grew up in Baltimore, MD and have lived in the Baltimore/Washington area most of my life with the exception of living in the Philadelphia area for seven years when I worked for Merck & Co. In 2002, I returned to the Baltimore area and am now an entrepreneur, marketing & business consultant, and real estate investor.

At the age of 9, I became “the man of the house” when my parents separated. Looking back this forced me to grow up much faster than I now want for my two little girls. I recall it was that same summer that my mother told me she was not going to buy me the swimming pool I wanted. At that very moment I became an entrepreneur even though I did not know it at the time. Over the next 9 months or so, I did little jobs for neighbor’s like raking leaves, shoveling snow, working my neighbors garden, etc. And I created the Baltimore equivalent of a Lemonade stand…a Kool-Aid stand – selling for a nickel a cup if I recall correctly. The next spring I bought that same swimming pool I wanted from Toys R Us with MY OWN MONEY!

After graduating from University of Maryland – Baltimore County, it only took 3 years of working ridiculous hours as a chemical engineer for me to realize that the laboratory life was not right for me long term. Many sales and marketing experiences following getting my MBA from Lehigh in PA gave me a new perspective on business but it was my late good friend of mine, Shawn Black, who helped me identify the entrepreneur in me.

I met Shawn while we both worked for Merck and we quickly became good friends sharing similar experiences up to that point. A year of excuses and resisting Shawn’s attempts to partner on real estate deals resulted in Shawn forging ahead on his own to success in real estate while I continued to trade my time for money.

Shawn recommended that I read two books: Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. Both books forever changed my perspective on life.

By working with Shawn on my first six real estate deals and having him as a mentor, I began my transformation to living a free life as a entrepreneur.

In 2002, I built a unique turnkey real estate investing and consulting business model that has generated multi-millions in wealth and helped thousands of investors to accomplish their cash flow and capital profit goals. I went from making $72,000 a year to making $20,000 to $50,000 per real estate deal in what seemed to be overnight.

Since then, my consulting businesses have directly helped a countless number of business owners and entrepreneurs to take their businesses to the next level with various marketing and business consulting services.

My mother tells me that at a very young age I told her that I wanted to be a “well-rounded” person and this is exactly how I try to live my life now: family man, active dad, practicing Christian, entrepreneur, marketing & business consultant, and real estate investor. I also very much enjoy coaching my daughter Kelsey’s rec sports teams and playing games and spending time with my teenage daughter Alani (…and she and I definitely agree we need more quality time now more than ever!)

God help me! I cannot believe I have a teenage daughter!
